Background The controversy faced by the Philippines is Typhoons. On average, typhoons strike the Philippines at least 20 times and among them, five are regarded to be devastating. An example of such destructive typhoons is Typhoon Haiyan (also known as Super Typhoon Yolanda) that struck on November 2nd, 2013, and lasted till November 13th, 2013. This report is relevant because it’s stated, as above, by the Asian Disaster Reduction Centre (ADRC) that a least 20 typhoons times a per year, five are devastating, which is a massive amount devastation done to a small country there needs to be a way in which everyone could be safe. There needs to be a way in which everyone could be safe and only need to invest a little to no amount. Purpose The purpose is to analyze the cause and effect of typhoons and find a strategic way we could do to save the people from all the damages done by this natural disaster. Moreover, this report will also focus specially on Typhoon Haiyan, as it’s the most devastating typhoon ever recorded in the Philippines or even in the world. This is because if we are looking for an effective way to save people, we should also keep in mind to prepare for typhoons which can be as powerful and destructive as Haiyan or even greater than that.
